    If your atste in mapmaking runs to artistic aetheic, you might try finding a juncture of some of the new biomes (those added since you were last active) and build to socase the new material.
    Your 'take' coming on them all at once might be interestingly different from those who saw them added one at a time.

    Definitely overhyped: what could have been an early game pseudo-shulker ended up being nearly unusuable as they required almost as well prepped a road as an ice boat but were slower and more annoying to use.

    That would work [actually I should have said sky view i.e. the direct view required for fast fishing].

    The only way I can see to make this work would be to store the light map [wrong name, but can't seem to find it] from when the chunk generates for reference.
    Note that this would seem to prevent any placement of light in player dug structures like mines and subterranean houses…
    One possible (partial) solution would be to prevent placing lights in any block that was both a} lacking skyview when generated and b} air when generated


    EDIT: it also occurs to me that leaves block skyview [for fishing] and attenuate skylight, somethnig for which one might need to account…

    Given how well my skins perform, you maywant a largish grain of salt, but…

    ∙ shading (particularly on the legs) is very sharp IMO something more subtle would look better (also the insides of the legs appear untouched)
    ∙ hair is very uniform (looks more like a lavender skullcap/coif) and i would expect the edge of the bangss to be lifgter then the hair/darker than the forehead
    ∙ the underside of the head is flat skin; carrying either the hair or a collar into this area can help
    ∙ MC skins are [unsurprisingly] square jawed and a broader squarer chin is often seen as a masculine [XY] trait: softening this via some subtle shading can help
    ∙ neither the sleeves nor the pants legs give any indication of the elbow/knee joints

    Try implementing some of these and see if you find it improves your result

    this raises te non-trivial issue of how one would determine that a light which was to be placed was 'in a cave' (as opposed to having skylight blocked by a player constructed roof, or being in a gallery in a player dug mine)

    Levels are controlled by experience points [XP] gained

    This how-to-earn-experience-in-planet-minecraft is somewhat out of date (notebly getting an emerald [3XP] is not listed) but I've not found anything more current…
    Basically, one gets XP either when one posts (threads, replies, or 'content' — but not wallposts) or when other interact approvingly with one's posts/content (e.g. by giving emeralds, replying, liking/favoriting, downloading, etc.)

    Something to be aware of: the update to one's level is not always instantaneous, but may take a few minutes [e.g you may not switch to level 2 in the same second you pass 285 XP].
    With that caveat, the process is automatic [Nothing similar to the AD&D version :D .]

    🤣 One consonant off (plus the silent apostrophe)… but correct in cadence and end rhyme; originated as Scots Miser (e.g. a miser even by the high standards of the Scots)

    Active listening has gotten to be very little (and tends to be live music).
    Having it on as background has also fallen off a lot: the radio seems to be a lost art (far too many commercials and other interuptions as well as th eproblem with every good station I find seems either to die or change format).

    Probably an hour or two a day, mostly late when I don't need to be aware of who is doing what…

    re getting better at > sad to watch: 'watching' a piano virtuoso practice is painful. (Remeber how well you did your first few days on a two-wheeler… and that was against a neutral universe not an adversary.)
