    Seeing Twitter in a fire over Minecraft's new MCBan system, methinks that someone should probably put water to the fire and show that this is only bad for those who want to ruin another person's day.

    While I don't necessarily agree with how they're taking as this has been proven to be a very terrible idea thanks to Team aVo's wonderful display of what kind of havoc it will reek on the general gaming populace, it does show how the community has changed over the past decade. No longer are players willing to put up with the abuse thanks to ex-League pro players coming in to dump their radioactive waste everywhere and want a nice environment for us and our children.

    Minecraft has grown up, whether we like it or not. I am surprised that this change hasn't come sooner thanks to the efforts of Account Migration. If you have nothing to worry about, then don't sweat it, if you think that this will be a massive issue then it will be resolved in time.

    It is a massive game with many people of varying backgrounds, there are going to be a lot, and I mean a lot, of false positives that will cause MicroJang to backtrack and rethink this entire idea.Should you still remain weary, if you're a Java player, there's always the Time Machine tool.

    Maybe should get that feature for Bedrock? It's an idea. There's also Discord, twitter, and if you're very desperate facebook where you can chat outside the game and avoid being banned. However, pretty sure that if the water is full of rotten animals, it's not going to matter one way or the other, so best avoid situations that would cause you stress and play with only those you can really trust.

    The Wild Update isn't really wild. In fact, it's not even growling, it's kind of sitting there purring. There have been many bad updates, this is certainly one for the books.

    We got a mob that's a worse hopper, a boss monster that is as pointless as the panda even with the drop, and more cut content than a pokemon game.

    It saddens me that we will not be getting fireflies in the new Minecraft update simply because we got the frog which I'm not for nor against. However, I would have preferred something else entirely.

    Anyway, I love fireflies. I love them in video games, they are the most charming of bugs that signify the beginning of summer, they are the definition of a children's vacation, to deny that is almost paving over what little entertainment Minecraft has left for pure efficiency of creativity.

    There are very few games where they are a nice atmospheric touch to add calmness to the ambiance and even less where they are interactible. Hopefully Mojang will reconsider it and re-introduce them alongside the long-awaited Seasons update which I have already believed will never come.

    To make my stance very clear, let me show you one of my all-time favorite games with my all-time favorite level, bar none. This is coming from someone who put hundreds hours into OSRS and thousands of hours into the Harvest Moon games.

    Blacksmith is almost done. Haven't been to the Nether yet so no lava and it's missing a glass pane and chest. Not sure how to do a table since I can't place a pressure plate on fencing. Or at least not sure if I'm able. Alpha has some janky mechanics, I'm sure I can come up with some solution. No, there's no wood slabs. might be just a fence and stone slab which will look super awkward.

    Might spread them out across my worlds and make them varied in design. Have enough iron saved up where I can make "golems" to defend bigger ones that I make.

    Finally got back to working on my lake MahnMaid and finished the first part of it https://prnt.sc/86FkoD-llEm_

    Took several hours, a few iron shovels, and a couple hundred stacks of sand and gravel to get it done. Did this through Layering because old minecraft had some issues with water and thus had a tendency to creates little whirlpools that would be nearly impossible to clean up.

    Thinking about littering "rocks" in it or making a sandy island. Not sure yet, but it's a project to keep me busy and give me something to do.

    I had a blog idea about this concerning "Rose-Tinted Glasses and Nostalgia," but I don't think it would be a good topic that I can talk about that hasn't been beaten to death by various other communities. My belief is that video games have long since been a hobby and become more akin to a job. Add to the almost rocket-like rise in NFTs only further solidifies my stance.

    Not to say everyone only plays video games as a job, but these days more play them simply because it's mainstream, it's an obligation if you aren't up to date with the latest titles and DLCs. If you want to hear more, maybe I'll expand on this. For now, it's going to remain one of my wandering thoughts.

    Miners and Crafters, today is a wonderful day for the life of my SSP world. After many trials and tributes, after so many hours of digging through the dirt in search of that last item of Legend, I am happy to announce

    Protected by a Skeleton Spawner of course. Now that I have this in my possession, I am now in search of ideas how to best display this magnificent artifact. All of this was done on HARD difficulty which makes finding this even sweeter. The only things left for me to collect are the Green and Gold disks which will be easy enough to find as I can try to heard some creepers and skeletons together.

    Ten years, several hundred, maybe even a few thousand, hours of playing has finally paid off. I can now finally put the Version to rest.

    Edit: Forgot to mention this, but the funniest part of this was that I found it in what I deemed the area "Mine #11." I didn't think about the record when I typed it out, it actually was a random number. Goes to show how lucky 11 is now.

    I have finally begun something that should have been my first project from the start. A historical biography of my world that will be the thing that keeps my world from being deleted and to give me motivation to move on even if I ever lose a stack of diamonds. My plan for 10 years of Minecraft was to make something that wasn't a blog, to create something magical, and to show how much I enjoy the game despite the massive burnout.

    I won't say anymore nor do I know how long it will be. My hope is that it will span hundreds of tomes that will relate my thoughts and feelings on the game as a whole. It will also be a testament of why I play video games, this is going to not only be a message to you, but me as well as I suffer from confidence issues to this day. Hopefully no creeper will blow this up yet given my track record, this is probably going to happen at some point.

    Before that, though, I will probably upload my world as soon as I get maybe 50 slabs in. By that point, I hope to fill my SSP with many different things both from the community as well as my own creations even if they are terrible.

    So, question, if I upload a personal SSP world and make stuff that other people made by hand (I'm doing re-creations from the old forums), does that count as plagiarism? I wouldn't be uploading just that, but rather it would contain copied works without the use of an Editor.

    Will post a bunch of signs with links and original people so it's not like I'm claiming them for my own. I just wanted to have some design ideas and fill my world with interesting things that aren't just a couple of wood boxes and random paths. I am not the first nor last to admit that I am as creative as a potato so using these to challenge myself and breaking out of the habit of being a horrible OCD perfectionist.

    Can't find a gold apple, but got another rarity in my 587th world in Alpha 1.2.4 (keep restarting because perfectionist tendencies still get the better of me. This means I have valuables like clay / diamonds after traveling hundreds of blocks away, dying, and forgetting where I was because I played a few days ago and have the memory of Dory from Finding Nemo)

    First true day off in almost two months, start up a new 1.18 world with the plan of making a blog post about my thoughts coming from one that spends most of their time in Alpha.

    Wake up and can't hear out of my left ear. Isn't clearing up. Yay, I'm half deaf until it decides otherwise.

    Several hours in, I've made myself a decent-ish home from the materials I've collected around. There's a pink bed, anvil, and polished diorite flooring inside because I love the marble-like coloration. This isn't going to be my final base, this just serves as more of a starting and resting point for my journey. There's not much to it and that's fine, but I feel like I'm going to need a proper storage for all the junk that's going to fill up my inventory.

    I will be posting my thoughts on this after I've explored and experienced more of the world and I am going to do this as neutrally as possible from the perspective of myself who enjoys Alpha. My preferences don't properly value the game as a whole since you have to view this in a number of ways - how is it for SSP, how is it for Creatives, and how does it feel as someone that loves video games.

    Why am I doing all this? To hopefully bring back a more pleasant community where people enjoy the joy the game brings to us. That society who made wacky mods, textures that either looked amazing or made your eyes bleed, but more importantly the builders that created stories within the game, having you go on grand adventures through space and time.

    It's my duty to bring about a glory new Era of Grizwold and Shadow of Israphel even if it might never be the same.
