    After too many “public displays of affectation” and hand holdings from the lesbians at my school, they banning anything of the sort including “extended hugging”.

    aside from the clear homophobia (it IS a fundie school) it still makes no sense




    not that I’d ever have anyone display their affection for me, publicly or otherwise

    Unlikely that "no one ever had a problem before" (I've been associated with a number of schools and that would be a first).

    Assuming 'fundie' means religious (back in the day it was most commonly a mince for "developmentally retarded"), my guess is that the staff might well have found sapphic displays more outside their own (and therefore normal) experience and thus such displays would have been more noteworthy. An increase in the percieved (not necessarily actual) number of such incidents being likely to spark action.

    Unless the ban on PDAs excludes such between hetero couples, any claim of 'homophobia' is risible.

    Extending the ban to hand holding seem excessive, but follows a common pattern of over response to a period of boundary pushing.

    bone up on whatever trendy diet meets your food preferences and you can forestall many questions…
    If you've not doen so, testing to see if the dislikes are caused at leat partially by allergie might be helpful.
    [​As an extreme measure, a tour of military service was once considered a sovereign remedu for this condition :^) , but not sure that would still apply… ]
