Hello, everyone!
Welcome to PMC Prom: The Beach Ball!Wow! We're already on our third year, huh? That's crazy!
If you've been here before, you already know what PMC Prom is.
But I'm sure there are many new people here who are asking,
"
What in the world is PMC Prom?"
Great question! Let me explain
where this annual tradition comes from, and
what it's about!
This annual tradition dates back fairly far, about early 2016. (Probably even farther, however I was not present then.)
This tradition took place on an app called Minecraft Skin Studio (MSS). It took place around February-May where everyone would dress up, grab a date, and roleplay/chat! We did no server, we did no mini games, nothing like that. We just hung around and chatted. :)
However, the roleplaying tradition slowly faded out and so did prom as a whole.
In 2018, I took a step forward and decided to host it myself!
The event had such great feedback that I decided to host it again in 2019.
2020 came around and I wanted to host it again. However, the MSS community slowly started to dissipate and the freedom to chat was lost.
Disappointed, I decided that it wouldn't be possible. I sat down in defeat, ready to accept that prom would be no more.
Right as I was about to give in, I had the startling idea that I could host it here!
The beginning of 2020 was hard for everyone due to Covid-19, so I knew that this idea would probably reach far. There was little physical interaction for everyone, so hosting a virtual prom would be meaningful for many people.
I immediately shared the idea and everyone loved it!
And so, the very first PMC Prom took place on May 9th, 2020.
The feedback was tremendous! I never hosted a prom this big so the feedback was, of course, a pleasant shocker. ♥
And since then, I just couldn't wait for the next year to arrive so I could plan another. :)
2021 rolled around and we had our most recent PMC Prom, "The Next Generation", on May 8th.
The feedback and excitement was just as strong as our first, and we hope to continue carrying it into this year!
Prom is a great way to take a break from life and enjoy this awesome community.

Why three different times?
This way we let everyone have a chance to attend!

IMPORTANT NOTE -
To those who are in the very late time zones, it's highly suggested to come to the Morning Prom.
To those who are in late time zones/ahead of Eastern Time, please consider coming to the Afternoon Prom.
To those who are behind Eastern Time, you should come to the Evening Prom.
(These are all suggestions, it does not mean you have to follow it. But it is recommended.)
And yes! If you want to come to more than one prom, go for it!

Servers Where This Event Will Be Held -
This event will be on Java !ONLY!Sorry for the possible inconvenience. :(
This will be on the newest version.
play.creativefun.net+mc.hypixel.netAs normal, there are two servers we will be using.
Let me explain what the plan is!
The first half, or main event, of prom will be held at
creativefun.
The second half, or mini games of the event, of prom will be held at
Hypixel.
How To Attend CreativeFunFirst, you'll need to put in the IP address. play.creativefun.net
When you enter the server, click the compass in your hand and click creative3. ( the magenta wool )
Then, do /p visit JadeFire170.
There will be a board with commands at spawn to help you join prom. :)
How To Attend HypixelThe IP for Hypixel is mc.hypixel.net.
When you first get on Hypixel, you will need to put in /friend JadeFire170.
When I accept your friend request, I will be sending you a party invite, or I'll tell you who's party to join. :)
- Theme and Dress Code -You can probably guess what this year's theme is due to this year's name...
Beach/Summer! Woo-hoo!
The map, music, and overall atmosphere will be summery.
Speaking of, let's meet the builders!
As always, we'll be having a texture pack to make the overall experience even better!
This texture pack will be provided by
FishStacks.
It will be posted within the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for it!
- Here is the
dress code information -
↓
• You
MUST wear something
formal. It is required.
• Please make your attire
appropriate and modest. Thank you!
(If you have questions about this/your design, you can run it through me by messaging me. <3)
• The
color code this year is
light blue and
lime green! You don't have to follow it, but it is recommended. :)
• If you want to incorporate a
summery look to your outfit (sunhat, tux with swim trunks, or hawaiian shirt with dress pants, etc), go for it!
A quick note: When you post your skin, please add the tag '
prom2022'! I want to see your beautiful skins.

• You can make an unshaded base and send the file for them to shade as well. :)
(If they happen to be busy at any point, whether it's with someone else's request or other reasons, they are free to redirect you to another volunteer!)
Some quick notes to finish off on-
• Bringing a date is not mandatory. If you want to come by yourself or with a group of friends, that's totally fine!
• You are more than free to bring a friend! Whether they are from this community or not, they are welcomed to join us. :)
• Promposals! I don't see these quite often, but the ones that do happen are hilarious.
Wanna go for the extreme and ask someone to prom with a promposal, but don't have any creative ideas?
You can ask them through wall posting, a skin, a build, or a drawing!
If you do plan on doing one, I'd LOVE to see it. So get on out there!
And for clarification, this is not mandatory either. It's just something silly you can do if you want to. :)
• We will not tolerate any
constant rule breaking at prom. If you disregard the rules and refuse to listen,
you will get kicked out.
