Mineathon is excited to announce that we will be hosting two build competitions for our 48-hour event this year!

Our first build competition will focus on building a 100x100 map for a mini-game. While the second will be simply an organic build competition. There will be three sets of prizes awarded by a set of qualified judges.


The first competition will last from 6 PM EST 31st of July till 6 PM EST 1st of August (24 hours). The theme is Sci-Fi Movies (Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc.). The challenge is to build two Spleef arenas on a 101x101 plot. You can join by yourself or with a team of up to 5 people. The prizes for this competition are listed below.


The second competition will last from 7 PM EST 1st of August till 6 PM EST 2nd August (23 hours). With this challenge the only restriction is keeping it within the Sci-Fi theme. The focus of the build must be an organic, but can feature terrain and structure. This competition is focused on creativity and originality. You can join alone, or with a group of up to 5 people. - All entries must follow the theme
- No official Mineathon members are allowed to participate
- For each competition you may only submit one entry per team (do not use alternate accounts)
- All builds must be created within the 24 hour time period,
- DO NOT use any builds created before the competitions start time.
- Maximum of 5 people per plot
- Default texture pack is recommended, as the competition will be judged in default.
- Failure to follow any of these rules will result in disqualification.

At the beginning of the first competition you will connect through the Hyrealm Network (IP: play.hyrealm.net) and join the Mineathon Build Competition server located in the bottom right hand corner of the server selector GUI. Once connected to the server type /plot auto to begin building.
