Defensible wall (Strategy)

I've used this design successfully to keep away all mobs since 1.5 and it still works to this day. The only thing it will not stop or hinder is a mob in your home becoming dangerous under lightning/nether portal, of course. Although the double-thick wall at the base makes lightning harder to hit. Just make a thick ceiling too (or spread out slabs).
-A roof overhang combined with a ground overhang
-Undead cannot hide under overhang, nor creepers or endermen
-Roof lip keeps out spiders, blocks projectiles, hinders phantoms
-Ground overhang makes wall twice thick, reducing explosion power and preventing ravagers/golems/zoglins from getting hits through walls
Also makes lightning harder to hit inside in case you have horses/pigs/turtles/villagers etc
