Damage Indicator allows you to see what damage you have dealt! Now if you've ever wondered if that hit didn't seem like it landed well, now you can tell with the damage you'll see for half of a second.

The redstone drops you see with numbers above can not be picked up, so don't worry about people farming redstone dust. The dust despawns in 1 second.

The pack should be functional the moment you load up the world, but if you add while live, just do /reload.

Update #2 : by Zwil 06/17/2021 5:45:41 amJun 17th, 2021

Bug fixes:

When regenerating a lot of HP, the damage indicator would drop as a negative instead of positive because it was reading the changes too slowly.

Fractions were buggy when it came to non-player entities.

I can't make items invisible, and as for the mobs not display a damage on death, the entity may remain visually at the moment of death, but the data of that entity is deleted the moment it dies, so gathering that info and putting it on an item to drop is a challenge. I will be trying to figure out ways to make it work in the future, but that's a long future away.
