Spending too much time crafting in the crafting table? This is the datapack for you!

It adds many new recipes for old items purely for the purposes of convenience.

    - Craft logs directly into chests, stairs, slabs, and more!
    - Craft slabs back into full blocks!
    - Craft clay blocks, glowstone, magma blocks, cobwebs, etc into clay balls, glowstone dust, magma cream, string, and more!
    - Craft ores from gems/dusts!
    - Craft any 2 stairs back to their original block forms!
    - Re-dye already-dyed items!
    - Dye and re-dye 8 items at a time!
    - Many other easy-to-use recipes!
    - See images for more details.

    UPDATE 2.0 (the 1.17 one!):
    - Deepslate Ore recipes are added.
    - Copper/Iron/Gold Ore recipes are added that use raw blocks.
    - Slab/Stair recipes for all the versions of cut copper (including waxed) and deepslate.
    - Amethyst Cluster recipe added.

    UPDATE 2.1:
    - Chainmail armor can now be crafted using chains!
    - Cobbled deepslate and blackstone can now be substituted for any instance of cobblestone in the following recipes:
    • Furnace
    • Piston
    • Dispenser
    • Dropper
    • Observer
    - The observer recipe's mirror image (redstone on left, nether quartz on right) now works as well.
    - Everything that can be dyed can be re-dyed!
    - These recipes allow for one-at-a-time or eight-at-a-time dying (which is more efficient with your dyes)!
    - The only exception is beds and shulker boxes, which can only be re-dyed one-at-a-time.
    - Unfortunately, no recipes exist for un-dyeing terracotta, glass, glass panes, candles, or shulker boxes.
    - If anyone has ideas for what should take the place of the dye in the un-dyeing recipe, put it in the comments! Here are some of my ideas:
    • Water Bucket (once Mojang allows for just the water inside the bucket to be consumed)
    • Snowballs
    • Ice
    • Water Bottle (same issue as bucket)
    • No Dye Needed (just put item in crafting grid)
    UPDATE 2.2:
    - BUG FIXES
    - Furnace recipe now no longer outputs a piston
    - Dropper/Dispenser Recipes now work

This pack originally started as a way to add the flint/hopper/chest recipes that are used in many modpacks, but has gotten bigger. Enjoy!

If there are any bugs or comments, be sure to report/make them in the comments section! Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

To install, extract the ConvenienceCrafting folder from the .zip folder and put into the respective datapack folder in the save file/server file.

You can use it in any SMP, singleplayer world, modpack, etc, as long as you give credit, especially if it will be recorded/streamed or released publicly. Feel free to leave me a comment so I can check it out too!

If you do not like a certain recipe or recipes, just remove those specific .json files from the datapack folder. Hopefully, it is easy enough to navigate through the file structure to find the recipe you want to remove.
CreditThanks to the Minecraft Wiki for a tutorial on how to make a datapack.
