The bright, uplifting orange fur coat on the fox shined in the sun, moving faintly with the slight wind. Its triangular ears twitched, making it stop to listen to the chirping of the birds. It was hungry, wishing to find food. Hiding in a small bush, it looked down to the ground, sniffing the roots with its long pointed snout. The fox lifted its head, peering over a patch of flowers to see a small, gray rabbit.

The rabbit has good hearing making the fox have to keep quiet if it wants to catch it. The fox cantered exceedingly lightly on its dark feet, marching over to the rabbit. Its long bushy tail dragged across the irregular ground as it took every step.


The grass rustled, making the rabbit's ears flutter at the sound. The rabbit's hind legs tensed up before launching itself forward. It ran in fear of the fox. The fox propelled itself after the rabbit, having no need to be quiet anymore. It took large strides, taking pride with every step. The fox knew it was stronger than the rabbit, but the fox also knew the rabbit was faster.


Realizing, after a while of running, the fox couldn't catch the rabbit. The fox gave up, letting the rabbit get away. The rabbit scurried into a hole after noticing the fox wasn't chasing it anymore. The fox angrily walked back to the bush it was hiding in, whilst being even hungrier than it was before.
