Chapter 4
English class was next on Ember's schedule; Crack had this class too. Ember looked up from her schedule.
"Hey, Crack," Ember said quietly.
"Hello, Ember." Crack replied.
Ember thought of something stupid,
"You know how you were researching about the Firefish?" She said.
"Yeah..?" Crack said.
"A-are Firefish purple?" Ember stuttered.
Crack laughed.
"So, you believe me now?"
"I mean... I guess." Ember said.
Crack pulled out his notebook.
"They can be all sorts of colors!" Crack said as he pointed at the terribly colored drawings on his notebook. "Sorry, the drawings are so bad... I didn't have a lot of time."
Ember looked at the drawings.
"Nevermind..." Ember said as she kept swimming to class. Ember needed to know why Arrow needed Stunning, and she wanted to find out now.
Chapter 5
Ember and Crack walked into class. They sat down at their desks.
"Good afternoon, class." Their English teacher, Mrs. Topaz, said. Ember liked English class, so she had no problem with it. Again there was a knock on the door and, just like Mr. Fin did, Mrs. Topaz swam to the door and opened it.
It was Arrow, again.
"Is Stunning here?" He bolted out. "A purple Mandarin Dragonet about this tall."
"No, sir." Mrs. Topaz responded. "They're not here..."
Ember looked over at Crack. He looked as confused as Ember was.
Arrow looked around the classroom, turned around and, rushed off.
"That was strange..." Mrs. Topaz said. "Ok, class, get your books out and turn to page 205, where we left off."
Ember kept thinking about why Arrow needed Stunning. Was Stunning a Firefish? Was that why Crack was studying it? Or did Stunning do something wrong? If that was true, what did he do? Ember had so many questions.
