Something Lost - Text Version
Gentle snow did grace the ground
As the golem searched all around
Frantic and stumbling was he
And it was quite a funny sight to see
Under trees and rocks
Through Steve's dresser and his socks
It seemed to be neither here nor there
He couldn't find it anywhere
Without it, he felt exposed
Maybe he could borrow Steve's clothes?
As the sun began to set
More and more did the golem fret
Darkness fell upon the snow
Surely now he'd never know
Where had he lost it at?
Stolen by his neighbor's cat?
Tumbled down some darkened caves?
Washed away by the ocean waves?
Defeated, hopeless, and out of steam
He sat beside a mumuring stream
Just as he felt he was out of time
Something orange that doesn't rhyme
Floated by
And caught his eye
Where he'd lost it he never knew
But he sure was glad it floated through
Plucked it from the babbling brook
And off the water shook
Atop he placed it
His pumpkin head, a perfect fit
As the sun rose once more
He knew it certain, sure
Even though he searched all day, he could not complain
He sure was glad to have a head again.
