I wrote this a few months ago but forgot about it until just now :P
Pewdiepie, the king of youtube has grown tired of his apocalyptic gore-games. His search for something deeper has hearkened back to a simpler time, when steves built, farmed, mined, and survived the cruel night. He uncovered a game called Minecraft, which he had previously judged as drab and plain, But that was long ago. In the days of Alpha, the creative spark was there, but it needed a little more. It needed adventure and mystery. Now after 10 years, Minecraft has grown. Where there were once unintelligent villagers living in box-shaped houses, there are now sophisticated traders, farmers, and workers building themselves a life out in the wilds of the overworld. Lush seas of kelp and coral have sprung up in the place of numb, featureless oceans of gravel.
And this world hides ancient secrets. Scattered in the rocky caves and lively oceans are remnants of fallen civilizations, where ancient folk mined, fought and lived, just as Pewds does now. By merely harvesting the limitless untapped resources of the world, Modern crafters can remake an engine or weapon that powered a forgotten age or build something new, and better than ever. All of these additions have provided the depth Pewdiepie sought, as well as a background of ancient adventures to support your own. Minecraft has aged very well indeed.
