intro

first mod post of the new month! and i have to admit it's getting harder to find mods to talk about since i haven't been actively playing minecraft for the last while. not for any particular reason, i just haven't been in the mood to recently. the only game i've really been playing has been my ng+ of persona 5 royal. hopefully i'll be hit with minecraft playing inspiration soon, nonetheless lets get into our mod for today!

what is mrcrayfish's furniture mod?

mrcrayfish's furniture is a classic of a mod and is probably the go to a lot of people think about as far as furniture mods go. it's simple and effective with it always being updated for new versions. you'll find it present is a lot of modpacks and is always there if you enjoy a little decoration in your games.

likes

simplicity

most of the items are easy to craft and don't need any extra machines to craft them or anything, which means the mod works great for a vanilla+ play style. the models themselves are also not complicated so it fits in with the vanilla models. items are made to look like they are made of vanilla materials which makes colour coordinating much easier and fitting the pieces naturally into builds a cinch.

dislikes

some furniture is currently missing

originally my dislike for this mod was going to be the fact that some of the models can look outdated or the fact that the mod generally plays a bit outdated, but it turns out the whole mod is currently being rewritten for the newest version. which is great! but it does mean that some furniture is currently missing if you play the newest version of the mod. obviously i understand why this is, but it can still be annoying for some players so i included it here.

final thoughts

mrcrayfish's furniture mod is a great mod for decorating and works fantastically as a base for decoration based mod packs for something simple. it also works great with vanilla+ modpacks as it blends in with vanilla builds well. it is currently being rewritten for new versions so i'd recommend using older versions if you want all the furniture but it still works fine in new versions. overall it's a great mod that i'd recommend checking out if you haven't already.

thank you for reading, please like, comment, and subscribe! as well as have a great day and november!
