Hello, and welcome to my interview with EleanorRose! ♥ She is a talented skin creator who's been known for her avid participation in the Skinners' Olympics and many other events. :) She is also a very sweet person and a delightful member of the community. x I hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in dark red; her replies are in light red. x
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. I originally began creating skins on Skindex after using it for several months to search for skins to use. After using the site for a while, I felt inspired to try and make my own since there were several outfits/styles in skins I was looking for but never really found on the site. I first started off editing pre-existing skins but later advanced into making my own skins.
2. How did you discover PMC? What is one of your favourite memories of the site?
2. A year or so after I had created a Skindex account, I was looking for new platforms to share my content on. I knew that there were several different sites out there that existed for Minecraft skins, but I never truly looked into it. I ended up discovering PMC one day while finally browsing different sites that skins were posted on. I immediately loved what I was seeing on the site and its nice format so I decided to create an account right then and there. :)
The site has had plenty of sweet and sentimental moments, and although it isn't a specific thing, one of my favorite things was reading the PMC weekly :) It gave a brief rundown of everything that had been happening throughout the community and featured so many different types of content!
3. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
3. Yes, I’ve got my main persona, Eleanor. The persona design itself has several pieces behind it when it comes to the inspiration bit. The majority of the design is inspired by how I actually look in real life, mixed with my taste in fashion and some additional details I think look neat. The one thing off my persona that I don’t actually have in real life is the purple dye on the ends of my hair. I do plan on coloring them at some point, but as of now, it remains on my list of things I’d like to do :)
4. Do you have a favourite submission that you've made? Your favourite that someone else has made?
4. Although the shading on this one is a tad bit outdated, I still liked the design of the dress/character and the shades of red on this skin :)
As for a submission made by someone else, this one right here from Skindex! I have always been a huge fan of stxrrynight’s skins for the longest time so I have a whole lot of favorites from this profile alone.
5. Who would you say has influenced or inspired you the most on PMC?
5. My biggest influence on PMC is Monca, one of my close friends. From her skin style to her art or slaying methods on Hypixel Assassins (Murder Mystery), I feel extremely inspired and am proud to call her one of my good friends. <3
6. If you could add one feature to PMC, what would it be? Would you remove any preexisting features, and if so, which one(s)?
6. It would be cool if PMC had a spotlight feature for new upcoming content creators who have talent waiting to be featured. With this feature, many underrated people would be able to boost their creations. Additionally, something neat would be if it included a couple of creator picks from the PMC community! I wouldn’t remove anything pre-existing features on the site, since they seem handy to others on the site.
7. What other hobbies do you enjoy outside of PMC?
7. When I’m not creating skins, I’m either listening to music, playing one of my instruments, or cooking. Although I do cook almost daily, on weekends I like experimenting with new recipes I’ve found throughout the week on Pinterest or recipe sites.
8. What is your favourite event (official or community) that you've taken a part in? What did you like about it?
8. My favorite event by far has been the PMC Pal-entine’s event that Adrestio and I host every year. I enjoy the fact that this event doesn’t just celebrate the general idea of “love”, but rather focuses on the aspect of self-love and friendships. The event is filled with many fun activities and a whole map to explore throughout the duration of the event. It’s just a great way to connect with other members on the site and make new friends.
9. What would you consider your greatest accomplishment here on PMC? In real life?
9. My greatest accomplishment on PMC would be all the friendships and acquaintances I’ve made from this site alone. The people I’ve met from this site have influenced me so much and I’m grateful for all the memories and experiences we have together. These people have helped me achieve great things in general!
10. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
10. My biggest piece of advice for new members is to interact with the community and discover the amazing things PMC has to offer. One of the greatest aspects of PMC itself is the community and diversity in the content featured. Something I regret myself is not exploring the site more as a new member since I only stuck to the few things I knew how to use.
11. Do you have a current goal for your content?
11. At the moment, I feel like I need to work on my shading technique and selecting colors better. I’m satisfied enough with my hair shading and outfit designs at the moment, but I feel as though I’m lacking when it comes to selecting the proper shades of a certain color to make it look nicer overall. With my current uploads, the shading has very drastic changes and I’m finding it difficult to stick with a style, so that’s definitely one of my main improvement points at the moment.
12. How would you describe yourself in three words?
12. This question is a bit tricky but the one word I am very sure of is stubborn. I have been irritatingly persistent on many occasions and it has led to both successful and horribly wrong outcomes. I would also use the words ‘quiet’ and ‘tolerant’ to describe myself based on the way I interact with others outside of the internet.
