I used felting, to make a frog. I didn't follow a premade design, and just had some fun, so I thought I'd share the process of me making her one by one.
Felting (I do dry felting) is done with a special needle, felting wool and some form of mat. You can see the needle holders and stuff (wooden handles make it easier for me to use and not break needles) you can also see my white felting mat, which I believe itself is made of felt.
I got a collection of different coloured felt for Christmas, and spent my money on 1kg of plain white wool (I used barely any, I'm set for life with this 1kg xD)
This isn't a tutorial really, I just really enjoyed making her and thought it would be a cool think to share, felting is a classic art, and im super proud with how froggo came out. Felting can be dangerous, its a sharp needle and it's not a fun thing to accidentally slip into your finger, if you do it, you should look up tutorials or guides on how to do it properly!
I used the plain white wool as a base, to save on the colours (because I dont wanna waste all my pretty colours shh xD)
I started with the head, because why not. Pretty much just a sphere/oval shape, generally frog like and round. I lined it up to the sketch I made of the frog to make sure it was the right size.
I then skipped adding the eyes, and worked on the body. I pretty much made a ball and a rectangle, and attached them to make the round friendly shape. I also did the arms at this point, rolling felt until it was desired thickness.
After doing the body and arms, I then decided to make the eyes, I pretty much made two small spheres, and attached them to my head.
I did the legs the same way I did the arms, but in an angle that allowed Froggo to sit (ideally, she needs a little help to sit). After attaching her legs, I planned where the white sections of her chin/body would be!
At this point, she's looking vaguely frog like, but not the right colour yet.
In very thin layers I add the green to where its needed. I spent all day making a frog, a fair amount of it was staring at green.
The green was driving me crazy, and it took way too long to do because I am easily distracted. Despite this, I did finish adding the green.
Finally, I added the eyelashes and pupils, as well as layering the white wool to cover the pink highlighter lines. I added a bit more white to the bottom lip to make it stick out (the white part on the face), gave her some blush and used a bigger needle thoroughly to make the little nose holes.
I hope you enjoy this look into what I did with my day yesterday, and a little understanding of why I can never keep a consistent schedule for my content. I'm a creative person, often in physical forms, and I have a lot of things I wanna do!
As you can tell, quarantine is affecting me in a creative way, I'm currently crocheting, while leaving my paper to soak so I can make paper.........
Hope you're all having a good new year, from me and Froggo!!

head without eyes (featuring my smol hand)

Body/arms (eyyy nice sketch kaos)
After doing the body and arms, I then decided to make the eyes, I pretty much made two small spheres, and attached them to my head.
body and head (featuring strangely red looking hands)
I did the legs the same way I did the arms, but in an angle that allowed Froggo to sit (ideally, she needs a little help to sit). After attaching her legs, I planned where the white sections of her chin/body would be!
The planning, in pink highlighter (im a genius, i know)

greenifying the body (feat green)
