Charles isn't a real person. His outfit is based off the uniforms of the U.S. Navy in the 1700s - 1800s.

I didn't know anything about U.S. Navy, so I did some research and here is the stuff I found interesting. All the facts are about the navy in the 1700s - 1800s.

Fun Facts:

Sailors ate Hardtack and stews. While the captains and officers ate freshly baked bread and meat from live chickens and pigs. They would both eat salt meat stew and dried fruit. (Source)
Ships had wooden casks to hold somewhat clean water. (Source)
John Paul Jones is known as the father of the U.S. Navy and a Revolutionary War hero. He is renowned for his victory over British ships of war off the east coast of England in September 23, 1779. Learn more: (1), (2) and (3).

Originally the Parrot Pirate skin was for the contest. But after a week of designing it. I noticed how many pirate skins had already entered the contest and realized my entry wouldn't stand out. So I decided to do another skin for the contest.
