A possibly helpful post: Misquoting Bible Verses
A lot of people these days (even Christians) misquote Bible verses. This is problematic.
For example: A woman on Twitter makes a statement about not supporting LGBTQ because of her religion. She said this respectfully.
Another person then aggressively responds, quoting verses like “Do not judge” and “Love your neighbor.” The person narrating this then says, “People that use the Bible as a sheild to hate people aren’t real Christians.
First, let’s go over the quotes, which are two is see misquoted very often:
1. This verse speaks not to judge others when you are also guilty of that same thing; hypocrisy, and to first fix your own problems so you can help others better.
2. This verse is not talking about letting your neighbor do what ever they want. Additionally, in the Bible, if you try to help someone of their path of destruction, that is an act of love.

Satan tried to misquote the Old Testament to tempt Jesus, so you must be prepared.
