Collect the essences of powerful foes and use them to cast spells!
Current Features:
-Simple Advancement tree to track your progress
-New crafting item that may also be consumed like a potion
-Seven unique spell casting items called "Channelers"!
-Each item has one spell tied to them, and almost every spell has uses both in and out of combat!
-An extra rare gear drop...
-Multiplayer Compatibility!
Quick guide:
-Seek out either the Ender Dragon or an Evoker pillager to collect your first Essence.
-You will earn an advancement and receive a book with mysterious instructions...
-Craft an Essence Channeler by throwing an Unformed Essence and a diamond on an Enchantment Table.
-You will receive a book that will ask you which Channeler you want to receive. Click on an option to select.
Notes/FAQ:
"I've collected an Essence Channeler, but can't use it! How does it work?"
-You must first collect the Unformed Essence to earn the "Essence Harvester" advancement. Once that is complete, right-click with the Channeler in your hand.
"How do I install the pack?"
-Extract the .zip file, you should end up with two folders. Place the "Essences Datapack" folder in your world save's "datapacks" folder, and the "Essences Resource Pack" folder in your game's "resourcepacks" folder and restart your world. Be sure to enable the resource pack!
"What tools did you use to create this?"
-Huge thanks to Thedestruc7i0n's advancements generator! Also thanks to Halbzwilling's short tutorial and resource pack found here: https://youtu.be/tvL9Z0blPC8 Custom textures were created in Paint.net. Everything else was done by directly editing files with Notepad.

I am currently working on another datapack which will include this one by default - Essence RPG. This pack, in comparison to many other RPG packs and plugins, won't force you to grind out solitary objectives in order to progress your character, and you'll instead be tasked with collecting various types of essences from game activities and mob slaying. This will earn you different forms of currency, "Essence Points", which can be spent on various character upgrades.
I almost have a playable alpha build ready for it, I estimate it to go live within the week. See you then!
