The Biomes Upgraded pack changes the vanilla biomes into something better and new.
right now only the deserts are upgraded but later on i will do it for the other biomes too if you want a full features list then click on this expandable spoiler
Note: Optifine Is Required this pack to work!

Blocks
wavy sand exclusive to the desert biome
better sandstone
biome changing stone of all types
new limestone! replaces diotire in deserts
fossils replace granite in the desert (texture by TheLuxure)
better cactus with multiple variants
sandy waters only in the desert
tumbleweeds they're a variant of dead bush
Mobs
the dry bones are the desert's skeletons sometimes they spawn with hats and sometimes with a magical emerald making them glow
husks are now replaced with mummies and zombies are now husks in the desert
deserts have a new spider with green eyes
sandy creepers they blend in really well in the desert
iron golems now wear desert villager clothes... just in XL size
slimes and phantoms are both yellow in the desert
Misc.
added cactus armor and tools!
step 1. get diamond armor or tools
step 2. get a anvil
step 3. replace the "Diamond" in the name with "Cactus" (example: Cactus Sword) make sure the first letters are in capital
and now enjoy your awesome cactus armor and tools
