    NOTE: This is not supposed to be a pack that you'll be using for normal gameplay. This is merely a proof of concept of what the current AI Technology offers

    I used Topaz Gigapixel AI to upscale the images. You can download it here:

    I was curious on how Topaz Gigapixel AI would handle pixelated graphics. It holds really well on actual photographs so seeing it perform on minecraft's graphic style is interesting.

    The AI's output is a bit disappointing. The textures looks very blurry. It does look okay-ish when you look at it from some distance, but close up it's very blurry.

    I'll post an update when there's an AI that could successfully upscale pixelated graphics.

    Cool idea! the method you're using isn't very good though, I'm sure you already heard it just looks blurry.
    If you're looking for a much better upscaling method, XBR texture packs already exist.

    sorry about all the hate you're getting. I think it looks super neat! i've been fascinated by AI upscaling for a while so this is cool!

    Yea I mentioned it in the post that this isnt supposed to be a pack that you'll be playing with. Its simply a proof of concept
