Yurius is one of Cygames' characters who appears in several games. He comes from Rage of Bahamut, but also appears in the popular Granblue Fantasy browser game. Wherever he goes, his archetype is the shrewd researcher, wise in matters of magic and willing to exploit methods some would consider immoral to achieve greater power, bringing him at odds with his former friend Albert.

In Dragalia Lost, Yurius appears as the descendant of a minor branch of the Alberian royal family, living in the Kingdom of Levin. His area of research relates to the Seeds of the Abyss, a collection of rare fiend-like artefacts which are capable of absorbing all they come into contact with and can grant a skilled user demonic strength. His interests parallel those of Phares, second scion of the Alberian throne, who appears to value the power of the Seeds of the Abyss in his plans to overcome his Wyrmscale disease together with his brother Beren, who also came into great otherworldly power through the events of the main story.
