Haii, This is my entry for the underground creatures contest!

Backstory:

The person you see above once was an ordinary girl. She was called Rachel. She had a loving family, Lots of supportive friends. This all changed when her father died. It was the 'infection'. The infection struck the whole town she lived in, her father was the first victim. Thats when her mother told her that they had to move. She didnt say why. That night Rachel cried and cried for her father. She couldnt breathe. She cried until she couldnt cry anymore. Thats when she decided to find out why her mother was so insistant on them moving away. Rachel crept downstairs and saw death in every corner of the room. Her mother was dead on the floor. Rachel looked up from the corpse and saw a tall blurry figure. She wiped the tears from her eyes. the figure was a skeleton. Skeletons werent rare around the town but this one was taller than the others, His bones were darker and he was holding a sword. Rachel grabbed her father's diamond sword from the floor next to her dead mother and ran. She ran away from the town seeing similar skeletons everywhere. She kept running until she couldnt feel her feet. Rachel closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She couldnt take in what had just happened to her. she walked for a while and spotted a ravine. She had always been fascinated by them. She looked down. Not being able to see the bottom she crept closer to the edge. Rachel didnt notice the gravel in front of her. The next thing she knew she was falling down and down.

Rachel opened her eyes. She was in a small pond. Looking up, she couldnt even see the sun. Rachel turned around and looked for a possible way up. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw moss. A dungeon! She quickly ran into it, looting the chests. She ran out before any monsters could come. Rachel sat down on a small rock, next to some lava. She looked and saw what she had gotten. She had a load of food, enough to last her a while. smiling she looked at the rest. Some wood, a bit of armour and a diamond pickaxe. Delighted, she stood and got out the last item. It was a book. Carefully Rachel opened it. It said only this "The infection comes from hell, the monsters come from hell. If the infection and monsters spread it will be the apocolypse. Defeat the all knowing demon of hell to stop them. This is the only way. Be careful." Rachel looked up from the book and knew what this meant.

After weeks of exploring the caves, living mostly on rotten flesh Rachel finally had what she wanted. She put on her newly crafted diamond armour. Looking down, she saw her father's sword, One thought crossed her mind. "I'm doing this for my family" Timidly, she got out her precious obisidian. She placed it in the pattern her father had shown her when she was a little kid. She closed her eyes and without knowing, she cried the last tear she would ever cry. Rachel got out her flint and steel and lit the portal. The glow from it illuminated her face in the darkness. She had cloudy grey eyes and pretty brown hair. But in this light, her face got a purpley tint. Rachel felt a sudden surge of regret as she walked through into the purple unknown.

She looked around and knew she was in the right place. It definitely looked like hell. Rachel turned around and saw an altar. It was made of sand. Walking closer, she looked at the sand. She swore that she could see her parents faces in it. Rachel walked around the altar and noticed a chest. Inside the chest contained three skulls the colour of ash. She saw that in the bottom of the chest was a scroll. Painted on the scroll was an image of the altar made of the death sand. But, on top of the sand were the three ash skulls. "This must be the demon!" Rachel exclaimed. She wondered why she had spoken. No one was here to hear her. She got out her skulls and placed them on the death sand. She was blown backwards and blinded by a bright flash. As her vision returned to her she saw the demon. Rachel knew this was it because of its three heads. "Not one person can know everything, But three..." She thought as she stood up. The battle was furious and vicious. Rachel felt like collapsing, but she couldnt. Not now. She jumped into the air and impaled her father's sword in the demon's torso. The demon let out one last breath and fell to the floor dead. Rachel looked down, not believing it was dead. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a shiny shard like item. She picked it up and looked at it. It was white and star shaped. "The puny humans do not know that i speak their tongue, They do not listen. It is their greatest weakness" Came out of the air. "Who's there!" Rachel shouted. "I am you now. You are dead." Came a voice inside her head. Rachel screamed as her skin went as pale as chalk. Her eyes turned the colour of hell, and her hair turned the colour of blood. She opened her mouth and a pure white cloud drifted out. "Now the soul is gone, i am in control. I shall go into their world and destroy it faster than any infection could have. They shall know and fear me as The necromancer."

After this, the necromancer did go into the overworld. She desroyed it until she got bored of watching constant death. After years, she retreated into the caves. All her power spent. They say she is still down there today. Thats the real reason why you always bring torches while mining. Some people think she died down there, Some say she possessed the creatures down there. But whatever they say, Evil still lurks down in the darkness. Dont dig straight down.
