A Scottish Hero!

William Wallace was a strategist and soldier within the War of Scottish Independence. During this time many people were trying to claim the throne, and the King of England was brought into help decide the true heir. However he wanted more then just too choose, he wanted power as well. Many went against this Englishmen, including William Wallace.

It is said he might have had previous training in war, as he appeared too be fairly good at it winning the Battle of Stirling Bridge. He was knighted for his deeds in the war, but was eventually captured and turned over to the English.

He was tried, and found guilty. He was executed by being hung, drawn, and quartered. However during his trial he refuted that he had done no treason, as he was no subject to the King of England.

It is said his ghost still haunts a castle within Scotland.
