Been meaning to do this one for a long time, the contest finally gave me a good reason to.

Wedge Antilles, a Human male, was a rebel starfighter pilot. After the Battle of Hoth, took command of Rogue Squadron. He flew as Red Leader in the Battle of Endor, striking the blow that destroyed the second Death Star alongside and becoming the only pilot (aside from Luke Skywalker) to survive both Death Star runs.

What I mean is that most times a person tries to replicate a book/movie/famous character, they do a good job but it is not always great to the point of being [almost] identical. This one on the other hand is much closer to the original character being replicated, than most peoples' attempts at a character.
