Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky (1946-2022) - politician of the USSR of Russia, three times Vice Speaker of the State Duma. At birth, Zhirinovsky had the surname Eidelstein.

Zhirinovsky was born in Kazakhstan, Alma-Ata. From early childhood, he showed leadership qualities, gathering a crowd of children around him, but also had a rather aggressive and quick-tempered character.

After leaving school, Zhirinovsky began studying at the Institute of Oriental Languages, where he specialized in Turkish. Then, in 1965, he began to study at the University of Marxism-Leninism, and after graduation, at the Lomonosov Moscow State University in the law department. In the same place in 1998 he received a doctorate degree (philosophical sciences).

Even before graduating from the institute, Zhirinovsky was a member of the Peace Committee, then he became an employee of the Inyurkollegia.

Continuing his legal career, Zhirinovsky headed the department of the Mir publishing house.

Zhirinovsky has been a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) since 1990, and is its leader. He was a presidential candidate four times. Since 1993, Zhirinovsky has been a member of the State Duma, in which he has been Deputy Chairman since 2000. Published 12 books. Married (to Galina Alexandrovna Lebedeva), has a son (Igor Vladimirovich Lebedev). He became famous mainly for his conflicts and outrageous, anti-social behavior. Until the end of his life, Zhirinovsky (in theory) did not lose a single dispute.

Zhirinovsky died on April 6, 2022.
