Madara was the legendary leader of the Uchiha clan during the Warring States Period and one of the main antagonists of the series. He co-founded Konohagakure alongside his rival, Hashirama Senju, intending to usher in an era of peace. However, their disagreement over the means to achieve peace led to a historic battle for control of the village, ending with Madara's apparent death. Surviving and hiding, Madara prolonged his life to further his plans to end global conflicts, entrusting his knowledge and plans to Obito Uchiha before dying. Years later, Madara was resurrected during the Fourth Ninja World War but ultimately saw his plans thwarted by the efforts of the Allied Shinobi Forces. Facing his final moments, he reconciled with Hashirama before his true and final death.
