Overview: These humanoid creatures named 'The Host' (Hostiam Humanoid) are renowned for their torsos which have adapted to carry many heavy loads. Because of this reason creatures known as Dwarbringers domesticate them and keep them captive for carrying their precious eggs which take three years to hatch.
The Host were originally named by Zack Cranner, a zoologist part of a team of space explorers on a mission to find life on other planets. He came up with the name when he first saw them carrying or hosting the eggs of the Dwarblingers in one of there colonies. The Latin alternative of the name is Hostiam Humanoid. Zack managed to make a deal with the Dwarblingers to take one of the Hostiam Humanoids back to a human space research ship not far from the planet for further research. The Universal Alien Life Protection Association stepped in and disallowed such research therefore some characteristics of Hostiam Humanoid's are mysteries to mankind.
Domesticated Hostiam Humanoids are extremely protective and loyal of their owners/ eggs. They have been known to kill if provoked. They were first trained by Dwarblingers to take care of their eggs many years ago. Folk tales told by Dwarblingers describe this process, it is told that Hostiam Humanoids were first hunted for their flower like tales but when a few Dwarblingers realised that Hostiam Humanoids carried their young, wounded or general supplies on their heads they tried domesticating them for practical use. It is told that Hostiam Humanoids were quite fond of the idea of caring for the eggs but this could of been an exaggeration to hide a more sinister truth.
In the wild Hostiam Humanoids lie face down in dense undergrowth in their natural habitats, rainforests and erect there tails which have a flower like appearance and a sweet scent. This attracts an array of large insects to the tail which, when too close, will be grasped by the extremely strong tail and lunged down the throat of the Hostiam Humanoids, still alive. Another creature which is attracted to the tail is the Frotnig. Frotnigs are allusive bat like creatures with large dark rubber like wings which make them practically invisible at night. Hostiam Humanoids find no trouble in devouring these aswell.
Hostiam Humanoids use their extremely sticky liquid glands to latch onto trees and scale them to find the delicious fruit native to Drector9 and somewhere to sleep for the night. They constantly move until they find an adequate partner whome they stay with for a month, trying to reproduce as much as possible. After the month is up the male partner continues on into the rainforests whilst the female rears the Hostlets until they have grown their tales and can feed themselves. Hostiam Humanoids are far from family based and it has been known that they have killed each other over food in more desperate situations.
