That state is really hard to reach for Shadow Zibonzi, as the level of Sculk merging required is at least 65%. Actually, Shadow Zibonzi is practicing to hold it, since he only reached this level once, and it lasted for a small two minutes.

As a puppeteer, Shadow Zibonzi can feel and locate everything Sculk-related, meaning he can see or hear from an extraordinary amount of points at the same time. Furthermore, this form allows him to control the actions or sayings of Sculk-related beings as if they were extensions of his own body. He can puppet Wardens, deep dark creatures, corrupted humans, Hollows and many more.

He can also use this form to control people who he knows and who have a fragile mind, or who have a fearing disposition toward him. In that state, he can see every incoming attack but doesn't have a lot of defences, meaning that he should be protected by other people to optimally work this form. If he was able to reach a sufficient mastery of Sculk, Shadow Zibonzi could fight while puppeting creatures, but in the current situation, that's impossible to him.
