Why and how I started skinning
When I started skinning, I had just recently rage quitted Minecraft SP for a little. (it's a long story for why i raged(I might tell it later in a blog or something)) Because of this, I started messing around with classic multiplayer. When I got on a server, I saw that so many people had skins, and I was surprised because I didn't know you could change it from Steve. I then proceeded to go on the skindex and get a skin, but then I thought to myself "I wish I could make a cool skin like these for myself." So I found MCSkinEdit, downloaded it, and then started to skin. It wasn't until a year or two from then that I found PMC, and by then, my skin making skills were mediocre at best. So I decided to upload what I had, and work on new skins to improve. :) I now use MCSkin3D by paril (lovin' it!)
My opinion of PMC and its community
My opinion of the PMC site is that it is just AMAZING! It's a great site where you can share and view cool things that you, your friends, and the minecraft community have created and submitted. It creates a plethora of opportunities for crazy, creative, and fun ideas to be thought up and carried out :D There may be some trolls, thieves, and over all just bad people on here, but every site has those kinds of people. People like that can be easily pushed aside and are just a small nuisance most of the time.
An Idea to help out PMC
I don't really have any mind-blowing ideas at the moment, but I do think that we need more events like these that help get people noticed, are fun, and are productive for creating a better community. One thing that I do want to say is that constructive criticism is awesome! I think people (including myself) should start commenting with good feedback and constructive criticism instead of just writing a simple "Thumbs up" or "Great work, diamond for you :)", (quoting myself here, heh... ). I mean, praise is great and all, but most people would love to hear any feedback on how they can improve, or any mistakes they could fix.
