Ireland
- Ireland is a country of diverse population, and cultures. Celtic tribes migrated to Ireland, and settled there. Ireland is also the country where the holiday St. Patrick's day originated.
A Little About St. Patrick's Day
- Saint Patrick, who lived during the fifth century, is the patron saint
and national apostle of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped
and brought to Ireland as a slave at the age of 16. He later escaped,
but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to
its people. In the centuries following Patrick’s death (believed to have
been on March 17, 461), the mythology surrounding his life became ever
more ingrained in the Irish culture: Perhaps the most well known legend
is that he explained the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
using the three leaves of a native Irish clover, the shamrock.

loosely affiliated, and didn't have a large central government like the
Romans. Like the early Romans, the Celtics were polytheistic, and
believed in multiple gods and goddesses instead of one almighty god.
Most towns, lakes, rivers etc. were also thought to have spirits
according to the Celtics. For example; Sulis: the god of hot springs at Bath. Druids
and filidhs controlled the doctrine and practice of religion. They also
had control over courts, and other civil duties. Their roles were often
informal.

My skin is made to represent a traditional Irish girl with a cultural dress and boots.
The
clover in her hair represents the national flower of Ireland, the
shamrock. The green of her eyes and her dress represents Ireland's
Gaelic/Celtic traditions.

Even though Isle of Man isn't part of Ireland, the two both share similar cultures

Ireland is my fav country, the accent is perfect, the language is so elegant, the culture is interesting, the countryside is beautiful, part of my heritage is Irish (German/Swiss/Irish, altogether I'm American tho), and my fav color is green. Irish I could visit Ireland B)
