Hyaku’s Story

Backstory: Hyaku was born a few miles on the outskirts of Glyndale, there, his father and mother would raise him as a single child. Other them themselves, they had neighbors and a horse. Hyaku’s Father, Shitsubō, would use to horse to get to Glyndale weekly. There, he would fish, if it was big enough he would sell it for two or three crowns, and if it was small, he’d bring it home to eat. They weren’t a rich family, but they weren’t in poverty. They were a normal functioning family.

When Hyaku was around the age of eight, he stumbled into his father’s room. Being a curious eight year old, he went through the cupboards in his father’s room, finding future gifts for his wife and odd-looking objects. He eventually stumbled on a bottle of white wine. He was thirsty, so the normal thing for an eight-year-old to do is to open up the “water”. He took down four or five gulps before spitting it out in disgust. He put it back away and left his father’s room. The eight-year-old Hyaku got drunk, although, his parents thought that he had to much sugar. They thought nothing of it. However, this was the start of Hyaku’s alcohol addiction, from the tender age of eight. When his father discovered that he had an alcohol addiction, he was furious. He grabbed the wine from his room and threw it outside of their house, breaking the bottles. His father started a match and lit the alcohol on fire. The wine made its way to the house, which was made of thatch and wood, and set it ablaze. Hyaku’s dad was killed in the process due to a lack of oxygen. Due to Hyaku being addicted to alcohol at such a young age, he developed mental issues such as ADD and Dyslexia.

Middlestory: Hyaku eventually moved into Glyndale with his mother, at the age of 21 (for hyaku), she died from old age. He lived isolated and alone for seven years, only ever to go out for food and water. He did normal adult things, he created sculptures, crafts, and took on the hobby of blacksmithing. From there, he learned how to blacksmith. After seven years, he decided that it’s time to finally start becoming associated with society. Which he did, he met a few friends, those being Isanel and Sora. He became a guard as well, for the Glyndale Pez. He was enjoying his life, alcohol-free, and addiction free. Then, one day, he was working at the docks in Glyndale. Letting people come in and out, making sure people don’t come in with weapons or armor. As he was sitting there on the marble fence, he saw a raft with a basket on it to his right by a cliff. He jumped onto it, and the rope connecting to the dock slowly let go without him realizing. Inside the basket was rum, wine, and champagne. He thought to himself, “Why not one last time? It has been seven years.” And decided to drink until he was drunk. Drifting away in the ocean. He was away from Glyndale for over two years.

Present: After two years, living on a raft, stopping on random islands in need of food, he eventually floated back to Glyndale unknowingly. His armor was completely rusted from rain and the saltwater, but he still had it. Thinking the original government was still in place and the Pez still existed, he ran back to the Plaza excited that he was finally home. To his surprise, he found Salir. Salir was a man who worked with him back in the Pez, so he recognized him. He asked him many questions, but to his surprise, his friends and the Pez were gone. Isanel and Sora had died, both were assassinated. From there, he started a new life. He rejoined the new Glyndale Gaurd, the Sentinel Gaurd. He became a part-time blacksmith and has made new friends. Aatrox, Salir, Welby, and many others. He’s also fought in his handful of battles and fights and has won many spars.
