His story is harsh but Etrius was the one that chose to be this way. he was a mercenary that was usually hired by the international trade system. One day he was hired to guard/monitor a cargo ship with supplies and civilians in it. not in a space-ship but on foot inside it the cargo ship. during the transportation of goods Etrius didn't have very much to do, that is until the cargo ship was ambushed by a group of greedy alien space pirates! being one of the fewpeople inside the ship that knew how to fight, along with some other guards, the odds were not in Etrius favor. Quickly the space pirates boarded the ship, taking out the unskilled guards. Etrius was in the fray with his trusty blaster taking out as many pirates as he could, but he had to constantly fall back as more of his teammates were falling. eventually he was cornered in the escape pod room, but alas the pods were out of his reach and the pirates were guarding them. In a desperate attempt Etrius sprinted to the escape pod shooting as much as possible...*whack* right in the forehead he was smacked around the corner of a box by the leader of the pirates. "foolish Human why do you try so hard" said the leader, "let us see if you can survive this" and with that said the leader cut both his hands off along with his left eye being stabbed out. the leader then threw him into the escape pod and set Etrius on a course for the nearest planet.
fortunately, he landed on a populated planet, and which then he was taken in by a man that specialized in mechanics and robots. And so this man later fixed Etrius up with even stronger body parts than before, and Etrius over time made himself more recognized with his new self by upgrading his robotic limbs. Thus representing this skin.
