I use skin viewer to pose the base, then i edit them in Photoshop so it looks like there arms are bended and stuff. Then i add an background (a custom one or a screenshot) and then i'm done :)

My skins are okay, However my about photoshop, i just know how to use it in the right way (i'm want to be a grapich designer or do something with cameras/photoshop when i grow up)
