So, welcome to the first round of my contest! It's a combination palette/themed skin contest, full details can be found here and in the spoiler below.
Contest Information
The contest will be in a tournament format. Everyone has been randomly paired together, and each round the contestants will be halved, with a total of 4 rounds.
Each round will last for 1 week, from the time the next theme is revealed you will have 5 days to make your skin, then there will be 2 days of judging time. There will be 1 day after the entry time is closed where late entries may be accepted. If you fail to submit an entry on time, you will be disqualified and your opponent will automatically go onto the next round.
If all entries are in before the time is up, judging will start early, so if you want to make any changes to your skin after you submit it, be quick! Also, if you decide to change your entry after it has already been submitted, please notify me of the change or it may be missed.

Tournament Bracket
The first theme of the contest is: Space
This can be anything that is in any way related to space. If you can justify it as being related to the theme, it's fair game. Robots, aliens, astronauts, entire galaxies, it's completely up to you. Mine is just a generic alien girl, because I'm uncreative as heck.
Starting from today, you will have 5 days to submit your skin. If you know you cannot submit it within this time, let me know as early as possible.
The base skin will be provided below, please do not use any colours aside from the ones on the skin image. Either a photo viewing program or MCSkin3D is required to view the palettes.
-=JUDGING CRITERIA=-
The judging will be based on five aspects, each rated out of 20 and then added together for your overall score out of 100.
These aspects are:
1. Creativity/Originality - Try to put as much of this into your work as possible! Experiment, look for inspiration anywhere you can think of, if you come up with something neither of the judges have seen before you will likely get more points!
2. Execution/Design - This includes shading, and general design. Make sure your shading makes sense! This doesn't mean you have to go super realistic on the shading, simple shading is often just as effective, it simply means make sure your shadows/highlights make sense and aren't simply placed randomly! We will also be looking at the overall concept of the skin and seeing how well your idea is displayed, and how easy it is to understand your skin.
3. Colours - We will be looking to see how many different sections of the palettes you manage to incorporate into the skin, and how well you've used them. Try to have fun with this, and not worry so much about how much sense the colours make, as the point of this is to create wild looking, colourful skins! :)
4. Relevance - This will be based on how well your skin fits the theme. In theory, your skin could be anything, if you justify it well enough in your description. So yes, be creative and experimental, but try to make it at least slightly related to the theme, hm? ;)
5. Concept - This is the area where, even if your skin doesn't turn out the best it could be, you may still get points if your concept was interesting enough. Say you wanted to try and make a skin which looked like a space ship, but it didn't turn out how you imagined. You would still get points in this category for an ambitious concept idea, even if the execution wasn't top notch.

1. Do not steal/plagiarize work belonging to anyone else. If you do, it will result in immediate disqualification.
2. Please try your best to submit within the time bracket. Submissions that are more than a day late will not be considered.
3. Stick strictly to the colours provided on the image. Any obvious deviations from the (approximately 300) colours provided will be investigated and if I find you have gone outside of the provided palettes you will be asked to change your skin to fit the criteria. A repeat of this will result in disqualification.
4. Have fun :)
