Level 26 : Expert Dragonborn

Loneliness can take many shapes and forms. I have a story to tell about that.

Walking alone a road was a boy. The boy, wasn't sure where he was, or what his purpose was on this road. The road wasn't like most any roads. It wasn't made of asphalt, but instead, it was made of glass.

The boy, still unsure what he was walking for, felt a sharp pain in his foot, and decided to stop and rest.

As he sat, he looked around. He noticed that he was the only one walking on the road, and decided, to continue to his, still unknown, destination.

As he slowly walked, world seemed to get grayer and grayer. Suddenly, the road shattered, glass everywhere.

He ran as fast as he could, only slip and fall over on a shard of glass. He was left with a gaping gash on his left cheek, and a shard of glass, stuck in his right arm. He got up, limping.

Knowing he needed medical attention, he decided to go into a building and call for help.

He opened the door of the nearest building, and entered the building. The room he was greeted with was small and very dark. He tried to find a light switch but found none.

He decided that he should go to another building, as he wouldn't be able to find anything when it was so dark. He went towards the door was, and felt the handle. When he tried to open the door, it locked shut.

Suddenly he was lifted up by an anonymous force. It threw him around the room, crashing him into the walls. Finally, it threw him out the door.

He got up with all the might he had left, and limped down the broken street. He saw a dark shadow in the grey reality he was in. He ran as fast as he could towards the shadow.

Once he got to the shadow, he realized there was nothing there. Suddenly, the shadow started moving towards his shadow, and started choking his shadow. Eventually, his shadow disappeared.

In fear, he panicked, and backed up against the wall of a building. It started to rain. The water was cold, icy cold, and was, like most things in this reality, not what the boy was used to seeing. The rain was blood red.

The rain soaked into his hair, turning his nice long blonde hair, into a deep maroon. Eventually, when the rain stopped, he decided he needed some dry clothes. He looked around, and noticed a men's clothing store and went in there. He picked out a nice white shirt, a deep red tie, and a dark grey jacket. He looked around and found a pair of deep blue jeans. He put the clothes on, and left the store.

As he walked the street, he felt his heart throbbing, his bloody rushing, and his mind collapsing. Suddenly, he fell the ground.

As he laid on the ground, he slowly started to remember what he was doing, why he was on the street.

He was taking a walk. His girlfriend had just broke up with him, and he needed to take a walk to calm himself down. He then saw a road, a road he has never seen before. Then everything faded to black.

Ever since, he walked that endless shattered glass street, Alone. He knew he would never return to his own reality, and would be stuck in this twisted reality. Maybe one day... just one day, someone else will end up on the street, and he wont be alone anymore. He wont be the living breathing form of Loneliness anymore.
