Welcome to the Westlands!

Loosely based on the Song of Fire and Ice novels and the Game of Thrones TV series, The influence is mostly in nomenclature and will make a larger impact after the building and towns are finished, as nation pvp matches will take place. The terrain is mc gen, however we are working on creating a custom terrain offline for the long haul.

Alpha 2.0!
The server is currently in Alpha and we have made a lot of progress since opening! We have several good towns and our staff and players jive well together. Offline, we are finalizing some personal changes to the custom map built by mikeyjbax. The custom map is a replica of Westeros and the western shore of Essos.

Towny:
There is lots of room to build! Currently towns are free for a (VERY) limited time with an approved town application on our forums at thewestlands.enjin.com. Well-built towns will earn a warp at spawn and a spot on our custom map!

Griefing and PVP:
While we do not permit griefing or PVP in town, it is allowed in the wilds and PVP is also allowed in town arenas.

Short-term Goals:
We will have 5 Kingdoms ruled by each of our 5 OPs: The North, The Reach, The Vale of Arryn, The Westerlands and Essos. Each Kingdom has a capital city (Winterfell, Highgarden, The Eyrie and Casterly Rock, respectively. Essos is still being discussed) ruled by its respect King or Queen. We'll have several towns in each Kingdom named after towns in that region according to the Game of Thrones lore.

Long-term Goals:
We'll have a custom terrain to match Westeros, including all major regions and features. King's Landing will be in a secret location as part of on-going game play. The Iron King will originally be a well-guarded NPC and whoever succeeds in killing him will take possession of the Iron Throne and have to defend it against others who want to overthrow him or her. The Iron King will have a fancy rank with shiny perms and bragging rights. We're also going to add the rest of Essos and possibly Sothoryos.

Staff:
We promote from within, meaning if you build a good reputation and earn trust over time, you could be promoted to Councilman/Councilwoman (mod) then Duke/Duchess (Admin).
