Yes, you should be fine on any version of 1.8 :)
Players are able to join the server from version 1.8.0 to the latest version of this 1.8. If you have 1.7 or 1.9 snapshot running however, it is not going to work.

Hey JJfeldcher,

as martijnfa said, this might not be a glitch but could rather have been caused by the location being protected.
In case you still know where it was, please let our staff members know, tell us about it on the forums or create a support ticket ingame (/ticket <text>).

Do you still know the location of where the "glitch" occurred?

Also, I don't think it is a glitch though but you probably have tried to destroy a block with either a sign on it or the area was protected with special permissions.

If your problem is different from above explanations however, then pls let one of the staff members on the server or our forums know and we'll try to look into it asap.
