This spawn was created by _SubAtomic and myself (TrollFarts) in 1 day (online hours)




The commission was for one floating island with a theme, so we both chose STEAMPUNK! At first we started out with a very wide island with ridged stone edges for the terrian, but the client said it was too big, and that he wanted a simple floating island. When my partner Sub wasn't online, I made a big round island, using Voxel Sniper, along with using Blend Ball to smooth and shape it. Initially I wasn't going to do the river outline, but i thought it was a nice addition. After the shaping was done, _SubAtomic did the coloring using a simple pallet of Green. After all the terrain was done, we used Schematic'ed Pine tree's, but editing them to have a grey shade of log, with bright oak/birch Leaves. After that, we overlay'ed the tree with Large Fern and Long Grass, to give the tree a POP effect, and to make it more realistic. The house was planned out using wool. Sub planned out the coloring, while I worked on the design of the house. After it was done, we pasted it in the terrain, and added a tower next to it, with a divider in the middle. which was used as the entrance. At first the tower was going to have a tall/steep roof, but we decided it was best to make it a dome, then.. OBSERVATORY! It was the most thrilling idea for a small build, and we made it possible! Along with ruins, a cave, and some hints and secrets, the spawn was complete! The spawn was made for $10, which in this case, was worth it. We didn't even pay attention to money, we just loved building it :D
