Steve dove into the deep ocean and quickly found himself embraced by its silent voice. The tide washed away the platitudes and attitudes brought upon him from the modern day world of the industrial empire he left behind. He was welcomed with quiet joy by the life swimming in the cool waters below. Inspired by this serenity, he set about building a small utopia on the ocean floor for those seeking refuge from the noisy chaos of the surface.

All screenshots were taken while using the SEUS Shaders mod for Minecraft 1.8.

This entire project was built solo and there was so much more I would have liked to have done, but sadly I've run out of time. Maybe after the contest has been judged I will revisit this project and add more.

The video features the song "Quiet" by Emptyhead, band local to my area, with their permission - hence why it didn't get put up with the submission before the contest entry period closed. Sorry about that, but I really wanted to make sure to have their blessing before using their music. ^_^

Added the video I had wanted to use for the contest but didn't get it in before the entry period because it featured a song by a local band that I am friends with and I wanted their permission before using their song.

Thanks! I have made a video featuring a song from a band that I am friends with but I wanted to get their permission before posting it. Sadly they didn't get back to me before the entry period closed, so I will add it after the judging period is over. I really like the song and for some reason the theme of the contest felt right with it.

Nice fishes.

The rounded cube domes looks at first quite bland. But the interios shots shows some nice stuff that suits the dome/overall theme of your build quite well.

Good luck on the contest although you're competition!

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't realize it until your post that the shaders mod caused the glass to loose its transparency so you can't see inside the domes from the outside in those screenshots. =/
