Barely managed to get this done in time for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea, but here she is! USS Lexington CV-2, a very unique ship in my opinion. Her design makes it very clear the US Navy had no idea what they were doing with aircraft carriers yet, with so many things on here just straight up being wack.
Since today is the 80th anniversary of her loss, I built her as she looked during the Battle of the Coral Sea, which means no 8-inch guns. She had them removed in April and replaced with several 1.1-inch guns instead, as well as some other modifications like new FC radar atop the old 8-inch gun director station, and several 20mm oerlikon mounts in the boat pockets.
