The Umibe Bridge is a Bridge in Fukagawa, Koto, Tokyo, Japan. It spans over the Sendai Horikawa River and connects the district Fukagawa with the district Kiyosumi.
The bridge is located on the Kiyosumi Dori and is one of many bridges on this important street. although the Kiyosumi bridge is located further west from the Street and is located in the district Fukuzumi.
Destroyed in the second world war, It is today a simple concrete bridge, and the buildings around it do not exist anymore. Today there are modern highrises aswell as low rise buildings.
it most likely used to be a stone arch bridge as depicted here, since many bridges in Tokyo were build like this.
