City Class Frigate
The City-Class Frigates were invisioned as a new wave of high tech warships for the modern battlefield. First invisioned in the 2280's, what is now the City-Class Frigate went through many iterations before the UECN board finally settled on its current design. The first ship of the class, the Shanghai, was laid down in May of 2291. Outfited with the latest compact sensor suites and weapons systems this small Frigate can pack a serious punch. 91 ships of this class have been produced as of September 2301, each holding the name of a highly populated city on earth. The São Paulo was launched in March of 2293.
