RMS Titanic


In 1912 the titanic was the largest ship ever built at 882 feet long (269.1m). On its maiden voyage it held 2,224 passengers and crew, and weighed roughly 52,000 tons. On April 15, 1912 (just five days after it was completed) the ship hit an iceburg and sank about 4 hours later along with 1,517 lives.
