Thermal Fury

With the thermal activities going under this glacier, you can expect this region to be the link between ice, stone and lava. These elements sculptured the canyon running around the central glacier, with lava leaking from the weakened parts. Be careful, as beautiful as it can be, it can be a dangerous environment.
Fight your way through these mines, explore unending tunnels, and set traps to kill your opponents, be the only one to survive...

This map was created with the idea of giving players total control over the map; every trap is activated by players only, none is made to kill the one who activate it. Some may help you, others may break parts of the map, and some may open paths or close others. Ito s up to you to find them and find ways to use them. We think that having a dynamic map is something interesting and give players true power over their ability to win.

Just for a number, there is more than 6750 redstone wires/repeaters in this map, this include a fully workable lightning system and powered tracks to move around the map (which you can turn on/off with a single lever of course).

With more than 200 chests scattered around the map, with much hidden one, ito s easy to find equipments, and the ones who explore more may find some secrets passages, places to ambush other players or simply observation points to see whato s going on.

Thermal Fury includes a lot of fighting on the vertical axis, with bridges and cliffs where players can fall or jump to other platforms, waterfalls and falls of lava. The environment is unforgiving; fall in a lava pool and ito s the end for you, but you should use this at your advantage; knock a player in those lava pools to make sure he wono t bother you anymore...

We tried to make a map where the gameplay is driven by the choices the players make; you dono t have enough armor or weapons to fight an opponent? Then, try to bait him into one of the multiple traps. Youo re being chase by someone with a diamond sword? Jump in a minecart to escape from him, but be careful if he turns off the power of the tracks, you might find yourself in a difficult situation...
