Today we bring you yet another update from The Tales of Runebrire. The ToR team is proud to present its first capitol city: The sprawling center of trade and naval power that is Alasantine!
Alasantineo s maze of streets is surrounded with low, flat-roofed buildings, and bridged with walkways. The city is the capitol of the Alasantites, and is constructed in their fashion, with thin stucco walls, and clay brick and tile roofs. It isno t the most defensible city on Elmfax, but each of its citizens is trained secondarily as a soldier.
Alasantites fight together in Phalanxes, with spears and pikes, and they possess almost no heavy cavalry or crossbowmen. Their tactics are very straightforward, and in their war with the Cavin Confederacy, they are often defeated on the land. Despite this, Alasantine has gone through generation after generation of bounty and increase, and the city is constantly being added to. This great wealth comes from their unchallenged control of the low sea, and the trading monopoly it brings.
