Hello guys! I've decided to try recreating The Joy of Creation: Story Mode in Minecraft. This is one of those projects that I have always wanted to make, but never had the skills nor motivation to do so. However, seeing others' attempts at creating the whole, or parts of the game, combined with CuppaTeaExe's recent recreations of all the original FNaF games in Minecraft inspired me to give this another go!

This is being built on Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.3 with no mods. I MIGHT create a version for Bedrock Edition, but I plan on finishing this first. Even so, I don't guarantee I'll create that.

PLEASE NOTE: Progress is slow, is going to stay slow and there may be a chance of me cancelling this project. This is my first ever command block project, and I am a perfectionist, so it will take me even longer to make the game as similar to the original as possible. In addition, I'm aiming to make the map without relying on mods or even texture packs. I MIGHT add custom sounds, but for me, that will be even harder than programming the game itself! If someone can help me out with finding, choosing or making custom sound effects, I would hugely appreciate it!

I do not plan on recreating the cutscenes, because that is animation, and I don't know how to create animations like that in Minecraft. My priority is the gameplay. If anybody wants to create the cutscenes for me, please let me know. You'll contribute hugely to the project!

Anybody is free to offer assistance in any way. Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for what to improve, change or add, or how to create a certain part. I'll credit you for any contributions you make!

Currently, I'm working on creating the old Living Room that was used in the demo versions of the original game. I'm doing this because I want to create a version of that level that is bug free, for archival purposes, and also as an "exercise" of sorts to lead myself into building the other levels, because of all the levels that have existed in the game's history, the demo living room is by far the simplest and easiest to code. Once I'm done with it, I will upload it as a progress build for you guys to try out and let me know of any bugs I missed or suggestions for things I can improve on. I will be doing this for each level I finish.

The Bedroom and official/released version of the Living Room have also been built, but no code has been added yet. You can see what they currently look like in the images posted above. I'm a bit of a noob at building, so if you have any suggestions on how to improve my builds, let me know in the comments!

I will post updates whenever I finish a level or make significant progress. I will not post any ETAs. This is being built with my free time, of which I have little, so please be patient and don't get your hopes too high up! I hope you'll enjoy it when my first demo is released! Stay tuned! :)
