Okay, so the good news is that I'm not dead folks! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in over a week, which doesn't sound like much, but contrasts starkly with my previous record of 1 submission almost daily.
The bad news is... wait a second, there is no bad news.

So, I was thinking of how I could compensate for the inactivity, and instantly an idea jumped to mind - a massive space battle. Later, I changed it to atmospheric combat, since that way I could have ground conflict as well. So without further ado, let's jump into the lore of this build.

On the fifth planet of the uncharted system of Vospel lies the headquarters of the notorious outlaw gang known as the Nightmare Assembly. For years the malevolent syndicate operated there unseen, but recent advances in scanner technology have revealed the presence of their base to the USF Ministry of Defense. If this were a more innocent gang the USF wouldn't have taken such drastic action, but the Nightmare Assembly was famed for bloodlust and savagery such that no outlaw group could match. The USF Navy quickly dispatched a Hammerhead bomber, escorted by a horde of fighters, to obliterate the base. The USFS Lionfish's loadout would quickly annihilate the base, but to disable the lethal missile mortars in the Assembly's base the Army supplied a squadron of Nova tanks. Ultimately, the USF's superior technology seems to stack the odds in their favour, but the suicidal determination of the Nightmare Assembly may see them live to raid another day.

Well there's a bit of storyline for you, but before I go I'd like to apologise for the other builds in the background. I had to build this on a plot on the Reawakens server, and I do have neighbours. I'd also like to thank Andrew_T_1 (now blueburrito123) for helping out with the Hammerhead and building the lovely tank dropship.
