WHAT IS ROMAN CONQUEST OF THE EAST?
Roman Conquest of the East is a 10,000x10,000 historical custom map, with custom terrain, emulating the eastern mediterranean region between the period of the Roman Republic and early Roman Empire (Circa 200B.C.E.-100C.E.). The regions include parts of Greece, the majority of Anatolia, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt.
Some iconic cities that will be included in the map will be Ephesus, Rhodes, Byzantium, Giza, Alexandria, Memphis, Petra, and Jerusalem, as well as many historical towns and villages scattered amongst the terrain in their historically accurate places. The majority of the cities created are historically accurate for their time peroid, atleast as much as possible from city/building plans and reconstructions.
I will release the map for download once it is completed :)

Started construction on the city of Byzantium, also known as Constantinople and Istanbul. Many of the common day landmarks you see from this time period were not built yet, except the large Hippodrome (horse racing arena) seen in its historically accurate location. Not much is known about Byzantium, as it was destroyed by the Romans, so this reconstruction is somewhat open to interpretation.
