Introducing RMS LUSITANIA in Minecraft!

This is a 1:1 build of the Cunard liner RMS Lusitania! This build features her First, Second, and Third Class interiors. This build is in her late stage form, near the time of her sinking.

A few things to Note about this build:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion.

2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build. Some areas may not resemble the actual ship and in those circumstances, I have to fictionalize some aspects about the build to "balance out" the build or to allow player interaction. I fully recognize 1:1 is not a perfect scale to build in but I personally find 1:1 to be the sweet spot for me.

3) I don't build cabins, engine rooms, or crew spaces. The reason is there is little to no information on what some of these spaces actually looked like, so I'd rather not spend the time to build something that I don't have information on. There is dead space on my builds because I primarily focus on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc) and tend to focus less on passenger corridors, cabins, crew spaces, etc. I apologize in advance if you expect a full build with no dead space.

Short history of RMS Lusitania
RMS Lusitania was an ocean liner built for Cunard Line in 1906 by John Brown & Co, Clydebank. She was the sister ship to the RMS Mauretania and were revolutionary for their luxury, speed, and size. She had her maiden voyage on September 7, 1907 and was met with great fanfare. A few adjustments were needed as she suffered from Vibration and additional pillars were installed on her second class spaces. On January 10, 1910 she encountered a rogue wave that slammed against her forward superstructure and smashed in the Bridge. No one was injured, and the Lusitania continued on as normal, albeit arriving a few hours late in New York with some shaken-up passengers. When WW1 broke out the British Admiralty requisitioned the Lusitania be used as an Armed Merchant cruiser. However things changed and she was kept in commercial service for the time being. On May 1, 1915 that would be her final voyage. Six days later while sailing near Old Head of Kinsale she was struck by a torpedo by German U-Boat U20. She was hit on her starboard side then moments later a secondary explosion occurred. Lusitania sank in only 18 minutes in shallow waters. Of the 1,962 passengers and crew aboard Lusitania at the time of the sinking, 1,199 lost their lives. Rest in Peace to the Men, Woman, and Children who lost their lives on that fateful day.

Take a listen to her Whistle! (Shown here is the RMS Mauretania's Whistle. Lusitania would have sounded similar to Mauretania)
