This is a faithful (as minecraftily as possible) recreation of the game Riven by Cyan.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Myst series, they were point and click adventures with a great story and superb graphics. Riven takes place directly after Myst. So I would recommend playing that first.
RivenCraft is an exploration based puzzle game. It has a light narration, a working 'linking' system via nether, a 64x custom texture pack, every area from the game built to a 1x1 scale -including areas not reachable in the original game. As well as bonus areas! I hope you enjoy playing it.

Installation

Download here------> Link (2.0)
Open your .minecraft folder (in the start menu type %appdata%)
Move the RivenCraft folder into the Saves folder
Move the "RivenCraft texturepack.zip" into your texture pack folder
Run MCpatcher (included)
Run Minecraft
Open up RivenCraft
????

Rules:
-Play on peaceful
-Set render to far
-Use RivenCraft texture pack (or it will look odd)
-Set brightness settings just high enough to make out detail in first room. (parts of the game are meant to be dark)
-No placing or breaking blocks (unless told otherwise, burning wool will be allowed during game at certain areas)
-No crafting
-Always break your minecart and keep the tracks clear
-Always carry minecarts with you (please do not place minecarts off tracks or on the submarine tracks on Jungle island)
-Grab a pen and paper (you'll need it for puzzles)
-Post in forum any problems you had or errors I made, if you take any pretty pictures or make a 'Lets Play' pm me or post in the forum and I'll make a link to it.

I am also working on the update for the new patch and adding a new in game hint guide.
i will make a TRAILER from Riven, that Riven already used for a Tv spot, but MINECRAFT Version :)
